Point blank I love food. Every woman knows that the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. I’ve been feeding my face for 38 years. 8 of those years have been on the Island of MARTHAS VINEYARD. The Vin-yad as some call it. From the shacks at Aquinnah to the The hot dog guy in Oak Bluffs I have pretty much tried em all. Some of Em I love, Some of Em I Don’t. I am not here to make money. I’m not here to promote one restaurant or dog another. I’m here to give you good, honest, sometimes funny reviews of the Restaurants of the Vineyard. I’m not here to make friends. I have enough of em. I’m not here to make enemies either though. I have enough of those. I’m here to have fun and have a little time to kill. If I give your restaurant a bad review I’m sure Benjamin Franklin will take it down for you. Otherwise, put out good food and provide good service. Pretty Simple.
Eating on the Vineyard can be tough. As most are, when I first got here I was in sticker shock of the prices. I ordered to go pancakes and an orange juice for breakfast one time and it cost me 13 bucks. Are you kiddin me ? Almacs diner could have pumped that out for less than 5 dollars. I had to put things in perspective. I had to keep in mind most of the places have a few months to make their money and if they don’t own the building the rent here is astronomical. The goal of this blog is to help people find a decent spot to eat on the vineyard. Martha’s Vineyard gets thousands of visitors each year. If I can help a few of you from having getting burnt I will be happy. I can say 100 times over that in Fall River you can get a Portugese Steak Sandwich with Garlic, Roasted Peppers, a plate full of fresh and cut fries for 8 bucks. But guess what Who goes to Fall River for Vacation ??
I always walk into a restaurant in a good mood. I then let the space, the service, and the food dictate my mood thereafter.
The goal is this blog is eventually review every restaurant on the Vineyard. I will also review different restaurants in South Eastern Mass, Cape Cod, Providence and Boston.

Dave – Great blog! Although your main focus is on culinary delights (or otherwise), I enjoyed your post about the ABC series “The Vineyard”, which, in my opinion, is a brainless depiction of what summer life is like on Martha’s Vineyard.
